Treviño, Robert, MD
Roberto Treviño, MD is one of South Alamo Medical Group’s founders and is a managing Partner. He is originally from San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Treviño received his medical degree from the National University of Mexico in Mexico City under an exchange scholarship between the United States and Mexico and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Health Sciences Center in Chicago in 1983. From 1983-1985, he received his fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at the Chicago Institute of Critical Care. Dr. Treviño has been awarded three National Institute Health grants worth $21 million dollars to disseminate a success school-based diabetes prevention program to schools around the country. Dr. Treviño currently serves as the Executive Director of the Social Health & Research Center.
